2009 All-Stars
Welcome to the Lakeland City Baseball 2009 All-Star resource page. It
is an honor to be selected to an All-Star team, and we congratulate
each player and manager chosen.
This season LCB sent two Minor League teams (9/10), one Intermediate team (10/11), two Major League teams (11/12) and one Junior League team. The double-elimination tournaments were played at three area parks: Haines City, Auburndale and at Hunt Fountain Park, just off Duff Rd. in North Lakeland.

9/10 Minor League Baseball All-Star Tournament News
7/2 (final report) - It was an exciting
District IV Minor League All-Star tournament. With Haines City
as the venue, both the Orange and Tangerine teams did very well,
including an exciting game between the two teams. Someone had to
win, and Tangerine came out on top of that match, which included
out-of-the-park home runs by Christopher Holley and Jake Morse.
Tangerine advanced to play the host team, Haines City, in the
elimination bracket final and Cole Brutcher hit a go-ahead 3-run
homer in the top of the 6th inning for the eventual win, giving
them a berth in last the championship game against Plant
City. Tangerine led most of the game, but eventually Plant City
pulled ahead to take the win. We congratulate both LCB teams for
a great tournament.

Intermediate 10/11 Baseball All-Star Tournament News
7/2 (final report) - A great effort by the 10/11 Orange team
making it to the elimination bracket final, but ultimately losing to
North Lakeland, who lost to Plant City in the championship game.
Congratulations to the 10/11 Orange team for displaying some great
baseball.

7/7 (final report) - The end of the road for Lakeland
City Tangerine came Sunday versus Plant City, marking the end of the
tournament for the LCB teams. We thank them for their participation
and effort.
